  • During brunch we accept reservations for groups of 5 or more only, otherwise its first-come first-serve

  • As Toronto’s oldest restaurant in continuous operation at the same location, our booths were made in the 1940’s, so if you are dining with 5 or more guests please phone us to ensure we can seat you together

Q: What are you summer hours for 2023?

A: During the summer we are open for brunch between 9:30am and 2:30pm every Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, we are open all holiday Mondays serving brunch from 9:30am - 2:00pm. We are not hosting regular dinner hours, however we are open for most Massey hall events. If you are going to a show and want to know if we are open or to book a reservation please call us at (416) 364 - 7517. Regular dinner service will resume in the fall.

Q: Is there parking available near the Senator?

A: Yes, there are a few parking options

  • Some street parking on Victoria St. near the restaurant

  • Private parking lot directly beside us

  • Green P underground parking at Dundas and Victoria

Q: Do you have options for people with dietary restrictions?

A: Yes, many of the menu options are gluten-free and our staff are well-versed in modifying menu items to meet any and all guests dietary restrictions.

Q: What’s the difference between the Brunch and Dinner menu?

A: The Brunch menu centres on delicious breakfast fare, and offers lunch options including our Senator Burger and Chicken Club. The Dinner menu offers dishes for an exciting night out, including some classic comfort foods we’re known for, such as Chicken Pot Pie.

Q: Do you have a kid’s menu?

A: No, however our kitchen does their best to accommodate younger diners.

Q: Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?

A: Wheelchairs are able to enter the restaurant and can be situated at a table on the main floor. However, our bathroom is not wheelchair accessible, as it is downstairs. Our staff can help notify you of community options that are wheelchair accessible.

Q: Is the music program running?

A: The Upstairs is not currently open for operation, it is being used solely for private events. Please stay tuned on our website, instagram @thesenatorto, or email us to be added to our newsletter for updates on the music program and more.
